A Brevard County man has been arrested after an alleged ploy to steal thousands from a local laundromat’s coin machines, according to the sheriff’s office.

Back around 1978 or '79 my dad gets a call from his cousin's wife Dorothy, saying Eugene had been arrested for breaking into laundromats and asked if Dad could go down and bail him out because Dorothy didn't drive. The bail was something like $5000, so Dad had to pony up $500 to the bondsman.
Dad goes down to the jailhouse to pick him up and when they got to Eugene's house, he tells Dad to hold on and he'll get the money to pay Dad back, which he did - with a bag full of quarters.
I'd be real careful about robbing coin op businesses. Some of them are owned by these guys that like to make cash seem legit and they have no, and I mean not any, sense of humor.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that sounds very smart, but what do I know
ReplyDeleteThey should have locked him up long ago for being so damn ugly. I know he can’t help it but he could stay home more.
ReplyDeleteThat's becuase your family is and always has been drug dealing and serivce doesn't negate it.
