Again, not all heroes wear capes

A Colorado woman who prosecutors said had an obsession over child molesters will spend the rest of her life in prison for shooting a registered sex offender whose remains were found in a bag in a drainage ditch.

  1. It’s refreshing to see some people still have the moral principles to stand for what they see as the right thing to do.

  2. Wait... so let me get this straight. We CAN'T hunt down and dispose of these vermin ourselves?! Ok, good to know going forward. Sigh...

    1. Not legally, no. So leave your phone home, have buddies prepared with an alibi, and jack a car. Might also need to wear a mask (face masks make you look stupid, but do make it harder to identify you from pictures) to cover the case of incidental surveillance cameras.

Not that I'm advocating any such thing of course.

  3. A life sentence for littering, seems a bit harsh.

  4. Seems like the Judge should be watching out.

  5. I wasn't going to say anything until I read the comments. Yes, this woman is an idjot and should be locked up.
But this is also an example of the abuse of the sexual offender list.

    1. Yeah, she's no saint. Her rap sheet paints a picture of a pretty unhinged psychochick. That she happened to 'take out the trash' on a child molester, convicted 24 years ago, is just a bonus. She could have developed a 'passion' and an 'obsession' about any other type of person that flipped her switch. Like registered gun owners. Or Trump voters.

  6. Read the story. He was a registered sex offender because he had sex with a 17 YO girl when he was 25. Believe it or not that is normal god intended biology not sexual predatation. This also highlights some of the problems with labeling people as sexual predators. I have a good friend who's son, now 45 YO was charged with statutory rape when he was 18. His girlfriend was 2 weeks from her 18th birthday and her father didn't like the boyfriend so he filed charges. Long story short they got married had three kids and the mother would not talk to her father or let him see his grandkids ever. Stupid! Stupid legal system. Stupid prosecutors. Stupid system!!!

    1. Yeah..... no. I wasn't chasing 17 year old girls when I was 25. Using your logic, any girl that's menstruating is fair game.

I will say though that your friend's son got fucked by the system. That sucks.

    2. Yeah. Not all "registered sex offenders" are equal AT ALL.

Did you know that public urination is a sex offense? I've a buddy (dead now, I guess.) that got off on that. Told the judge that he might be guilty of an offense against sanitation, but he was NOT guilty of a sex offense, and plead not guilty. Judge dismissed the case. He'd been out late, was almost too drunk to walk nevermind find a bathroom open that late, and pissed against a wall.

He's just damned lucky he had a reasonable judge, or he could have ended up on the sex offender list FOR LIFE. Which I guess in his case would only have been, like, three more years, but still.

Died under the knife for a hernia surgery. Did you know that general anesthesia is inherently risky, and sometimes people die *just from that?* I didn't.

Got kinda off track there, didn't I?

    3. I once knew a 17-year-old girl who blithely told me she did it with a 40-year-old. I don't think that should be legal, but it's not the same thing as sexual predation.

Real predators use manipulation, deceit, and coercion. They commit auxiliary crimes like kidnapping or fraud. They render their victims helpless.

They also re-offend. They can't or won't control their darkest urges, and they have the psychosocial tools to hurt anyone who gets in their way.

This guy got caught in one case of 25-over-17, 24 years ago. No indications of serious criminality or re-offending. He should have been taken off the list at some point.

    4. My parents were ten years apart. They married when mom was 19. In traditional societies a man must first prove he can support a family before he is allowed to take one. It's the smartest way to keep from having welfare dependent scum. It also ensures the guy is mature before he gets hitched

  7. 24 years ago,at the age of 25, this guy had a relationship with 17 year old female. That’s sort of pushing the definition of child molester, IMHO.

    1. Agreed, we need to reform the laws to account for these "borderline" cases. Sex with a seventeen year old does not qualify as pedophilia (literally pre-puberty sexual attraction). Stupid it may be but truly criminal it is not. I would not convict if put on the jury for that (specific) trial.

  8. That makes no sense to me at all. That woman many have saved countless children from being abused by those sick Pedos. Give her a medal, not jail.

  10. When we were fifteen, sixteen we would say, old enough to bleed old enough to butcher. When I turned eighteen to be seen with a girl seventeen would have been looked down upon. However, if two seventeen year olds had been dating and one turned eighteen it was accepted. An eighteen year old with a sixteen year old or less would have got his ass beat.

  11. It's unfortunate that that woman did not have a person like me on that jury.

  12. On the other hand, if state dept of natural resources would auction tags for bagging predators, might clarify the legal ambiguities and raise income for the state coffers.... Big win for all concerned

  13. Listen, she just thought it was in season and she HAD downloaded the Molester tag permit from the internet. Let's just call it a youthful error and teach her some better techniques to get away with it. It's called the Hillary Class.

  14. I am 48, my wife of about to be 20 years is 54. Of course, do the math...we were both adults. Two kids later and I still try and hit it several times a week when she isn't bitching about something.
And I am posting anonymously so I can still hit it!
