A man from Victorville was arrested and is facing charges for allegedly stealing the service weapon from a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputy and then firing the stolen gun at her.
Probably because he was black. I do not know her race, but it doesn’t really matter. No reasonable officer wants to shoot anybody black because they would be lynched In the court of public opinion.
I'm reminded of the movie Extreme Prejudice every time I read a story like this. A Texas ranger and a local sheriff are talking how the state wants to allow women in the rangers and one of them says 'Hell, I don't have a problem with that, as long as she's 6' 2" and mean as a snake'. It doesn't matter how physically fit a woman is, they're going to get their asses handed to them in a fight against a man. Don't believe me? Ask any of those (real) women boxers in paris. -lg
I remember watching a video of that. My opinion is if he wanted to she'd be dead. I can't stand these female LEO's. It's always their male partners who do all the work as the female wants to pretend she's all tough. Now she's "medically retired." To put it another way now she's a huge burden on the taxpayers. She can't work dispatch? She can't work a desk job? What if every male officer all of a sudden was eligible for "medically retired." That of course wouldn't happen.
A good ol boy drunk went off the road and got his truck stuck. He was trying to get it out when a female trooper came along and tried to arrest him. He said no problem, as soon as I get my truck out you can arrest me. It escalated and she pulled her gun. He took it away from her and threw it in the river. Then before the backup she called for got there he got his truck unstuck. Once done he went over and said ok, arrest me. Don't fuck with a good ol boy and his truck or his dog. True story, it was outside Harrisonburg Va. Briery Branch to be specfic. Maybe in the 80's.
If he's actively trying to kill her, why would she waste time warning him?

DeleteNo “Attempted Murder”, “Assault of a Peace Officer”, or how about “Just Being an Asshole”? California, you deserve what you have wrought.
