Rochester, N.Y. — A woman faces federal charges after she allegedly kept her boyfriend's body in her basement to continue receiving social security benefits after his death.
Wendy Stone's boyfriend, Kenneth Crisman, died Dec. 28, 2022. Stone failed to report Crisman's death and moved his body to their basement, wrapped it and placed it into a plastic recycling bin — periodically pouring bleach on the body to prevent foul order, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of New York.
