Five years for student with autism who knocked out teacher’s aide

After a mother begged a Florida judge not to hand down a prison sentence to a student with autism who knocked out and then continued beating a teacher’s aide over a claimed threat to take away his Nintendo Switch, the court listened carefully to testimony for the rest of Tuesday and concluded that five years behind bars was the appropriate punishment.

  1. Feral is the optimum description for this baboon.

    1. There were NO special ed kids in my class. Of course we only had 5 shots as kids. Every time the number of shots increase the level of autism, ADHD, allergies, ear infections go up. Now autism spectrum is 1 in 11!
There were NO food allergies or ear infections. I had mumps, measles, scarlet fever (104°f) and colds and flu without any harm. The true cost of childhood vaccination is the destroyed lives and families.

  5. For under a dollar’s worth of ammo, a police officer could’ve nipped in the bud, a great future expense for the State of Florida.

  6. No doubt there are other young adults in his age bracket diagnosed with autism, but do they go full ape-shit and assault a teacher or other adult?

  7. "6ft 6in, 270 lbs, prone to violent outbursts"- should be incarcerated for life- he'll love prison, seriously-

  9. With the experience I've had (and it's been a few years) these poor souls are incredibly strong and you gotta remember their mind is maybe of a child. Most are on medicine to control that anger and anxiety. I feel bad for the teacher she didn't know what was going to trigger that and I feel sorry for the boy his mind is not of a normal adult

    1. Not that kind of autism. Its a 'spectrum' now. Any one the slightest bit socially awkward can now claim to be on the spectrum, and immediately have their own set of rules.

    2. Odd how they cannot help it but are never seen to pick on a six foot tall MMA fighter.
Here in the UK, on the BBC of all things, years ago I watched a documentary about Turettes Syndrome and there was one man on it, and whenever he saw this 70+ year old 4 feet 10 inch tall Woman in his neighbourhood, he'd go nuts to her. He was sooooo sorry about it, but he had nooooo way of stopping. He's going round the Supermarket, and the Woman is there. With her was her 6 foot 6 inch Grandson who was taking a break for the Royal Marines Commando. You know what was so odd? The poor man who could not stop himself, somehow stopped himself and did not make one sound! It's not like the BBC to show anytthing like this as it's always they can not help themself and if anyone fights back they are evil. I'm sure who ever made it did not work for the BBC again. It's never been reshown and was the only episode of the series never put on the website.

    3. Retard strength is NO JOKE. When I was in elementary school in the 80s the worst bully in our school was picking on our resident retard and he got shoved into a brick wall so hard it almost killed him. The bully never came back to school again, and we all loved Paul (the retard) for it, because that guy was a first rate asshole who kind of had it coming. If that happened now it would make the national news cycle, but back then things were less crazy.

    1. Low IQ isn't the problem either, quit making excuses for their decision to be antisocial.

    2. I didn't intend it as an excuse, just pointing out a misdiagnosis.

  14. The libtards have indoctrinated the blacks and brown so heavily that they are now clueless victims of "White Oppression" and have little or no personal responsibility for their untoward actions.

  15. My mother's neighbors have a son with severe mental deficiencies. He was born with the cord wrapped around his neck and wasn't expected to ever walk or talk. He does both, but he's barely understandable. His parents felt guilty, and sorry for him, so they never told him "no" or corrected him. He became quite strong, and violent if he didn't get his way. When it came to a choice of straightening him out or locking him up, they finally got some help. He's much better controlled now. A little discipline and work from the parents would probably avoided this entire problem, too.

    1. This is when the family of the beaten aide should talk to "friends who have friends" who knows prisoner X and makes sure that little "autism dindu" is "freed" in his first year of incarceration.

  18. So he got triggered over the slightest bit of discipline?? I would be interested in hearing how he gets "triggered" the first time "Tiny" takes his breakfast hash browns in prison......

  19. When I was in elementary school back in the 1970s, the "special" kids were sent to a different school and didn't interact with the "normal" kids. I blame the parents of these "special" kids for demanding they be allowed to be in normal school without the benefit of learning how to interact in this world.

    1. If he does the whole 5 years, it'll be 5 years and 2 months until his first murder. Shoulda smoked him up on conviction.

  21. I have to say you people are bloodthirsty savages! Yes autism exists. Some people are more damaged than others. Some are damaged beyond belief. It is quite possible that the kid who did this has no 'agency' because of the damage to the brain.

But you are all missing the big question. The kid is 17. How much educational progress has he made in the year prior to the attack - and how much did it cost? How about progress in the 5 prior? And at what cost? After 12 years of 'educating' if he hasn't learned not to beat people to death - WHAT HAVE YOU TAUGHT HIM? Is he even capable of learning? Why is he in school?

Now the rest of the story. . . These kids are impossible for parents. The medical expenses are out of this world, they require 24 hour babysitting and people break down under the stress and exhaustion. School is a public paid babysitter for these kids. Why does that babysitter have to pretend (and be paid as if) they are teaching at school?

  22. I'm 55 and autistic. Not diagnosed as a kid because of the thought that autism meant Rain Man back then, they thought I was just "weird". My two kids are both autistic as well, and I'm pretty sure my mother is due to behaviors / issues she has. Guess what? None of us have just randomly assaulted others because of a threat of consequences (taking away a switch), although we've all gotten upset, the autistic upset, for all sorts of reasons. Autism shouldn't be the factor we blame for this behavior, it's caused by no one teaching the kid that you don't behave that way and there are consequences for your actions. Very telling that the mom didn't want her baby to face any consequences for the assault. Some people will refuse to correct or punish an autistic kid because "they don't understand what they're doing" which is bullshit.
