Meanwhile, in Kansas.....

  1. Tornados terrify my wife. Their sudden appearance and destructive nature scare her (me too but I don't worry about it much - very rare occurrence down here in south Texas). Those people in Tornado Alley take the risk in stride it seems.

  2. I grew up in Kansas. We had a tornado alley West of us. We would watch them pass by. It was the tornadoes at night that are scary, you can't see them. Met one gentleman farmer that lost his weather vane and a year later, to the day, hit his home again. Fortunately no major damage, but good grief!

  3. A few years after WW-II we lived in southern Florida. Tornadoes appeared on several occasions. I remember standing in the back yard and watching them travel west to east maybe about 2 miles away. I had no fear of them at the time. The suckers were magnificent, but if I was to see one now, I'd probably shake, shit and have a major cardiac event.

  4. Considering that it resembles a penis, any redneck girl would want a ride.
I saw more tornadoes growing up in Minnesota than I've seen in the 2)3 of my life I've lived in Kansas.
