A man who went on a shooting spree after he pulled a gun on an employee at a Burger King in Colorado after the worker refused to accept drugs as payment has been sentenced to a staggering 143 years in prison.
Accepting drugs as payment? What type of drugs? Uppers, downers or hallucinogens? That's important. it's like the store owner refusing 2 dollar bills or a wheelbarrow full of pennies. Lot's of people think refusing payment of legal tender in this form is against the law, but so is using second hand drugs as payment.
Worked the snack bar at my college student center. We were always willing to trade. Pizza for pot. Cheese sticks for quaaludes. Everything was negotiable. Loved the barter system
years ago I knew 2 men convicted of murder. I don't know how long the sentence was but they were both back on the streets in 2 years. Guessing 143 years will turn out to be 5 or so.
Yep
