Oh shit, Bones too???

Cowboys everywhere were likely breathing a sigh of relief when news got out that Bones the bull had passed away.

Dozens of bull riders likely reached, instinctively, to their elbows, shoulders, necks and other body parts ravaged by the 1,550-pound beast, remembering an old hurt or ache that never goes away.

  3. I like the part of the story where if he threw you he gave you a stare down and if you rode him, he came after you.

    The more I learn about these bulls the more I respect their intelligence and realize the uniqueness of their individual personalities.

  4. Elmo: Always let deserving critters pass on the place instead of the Alpo express. Had an old RA bull who had his favorite harem. When one of his fave girls would pass, the sound of the backhoe digging a grave would attract all. The old bull would stand at the carcass of his girl and wail.
    Not for a moment, but long enough for me to sip 2-3 beers in the now silent tractor. The cows would then wander off with my dear bull Always shuffling off lastly, leaving me to place the good old girl in her grave on the sacred ground.
    Dumb cattle, my ass....
