This is why we can't have nice things

The last remaining Denny’s in the San Francisco area has closed.

After nearly 25 years in business, the 24-hour diner located near San Francisco’s Union Square closed Aug. 1, SFGate reported.

Franchise owner Chris Haque told the news outlet that ongoing vandalism contributed to their decision to close.

  1. That'll teach 'em for closing the restroom to non-customers.

    1. I'd imagine that's where the vandalism was being done.

  3. I'm sure there will be peaceful (as in burning down a few more buildings) protests and cries of racism soon. Many years ago Kmart closed a local store and the protesters were out in force the next day. Kmart said the store was closed due to low sales and high levels of theft. The protesters, of course, claimed that it was purely a racist decision. After about a week, the protesters arrived one day to find that the Kmart signs were gone and signs for a new Bazaar were in there place, and construction was starting. While they were marching around complaining, an enterprising soul leased the building and opened an indoor bazaar of independent businesses. It was quite successful. The shop owners took care of any problems.

  5. Also could have posted under "I've been that drunk" . Anyone else never eat at Denny's sober? . I do not think I ever "being of sound mind" stopped and thought I want to eat at a Denny's. it's just not something that would occur to me unless I had been drinking . Like having Gyros .
