Two men, both on pretrial release for felony gun cases, are behind bars after Chicago police used a SWAT team’s drone to secretly monitor a neighborhood where several people have been robbed during Facebook Marketplace meet-ups.
CPD issued a community alert about the robbery pattern in June after detectives linked two cases. But the number of robberies ballooned over the summer, prompting investigators to tap into the city’s growing fleet of surveillance drones.

DeleteA bunch of crimes happen, and people report them to the police. So the police decide it's a good use of their time and resources to watch the place where these crimes are happening. Lo and behold, Lajuan and Davonte (was there ever any doubt?) are caught in the act and are now going to trial.
