Vilma Otero, 59, is facing a child abuse charge, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. A probable cause arrest affidavit obtained by Law&Crime said the incident occurred Friday at Forest Lake Elementary School in Deltona.

DeleteYes, how is that diagnosed, and why has it multiplied? Regardless.....the child belongs to God, and is entrusted to the parents, not the state. Someone does that to my offspring they better have a very clear reason, and yet I will deal with it, after I deal with the outsider. They should kick a bear or lion cub, their chances are better.

I know most people's emotional reaction will be on the side of the kid and see the teacher is an evil person, but people can only take so much and then they snap. I bet the kid has been a disruption before, but the parents and feel-good administrators couldn't accept for the rest of the “normal” kids he needed to be sent to a "special school".

Autism can be difficult, I have two kids with it, I have to treat them differently because different things work with them. And I've had to hold the younger one tight when he was having a meltdown, but the older one doesn't respond to that well. I'd be willing to give the teacher a break, except that I've seen how some teachers treat autistic kids.

They've been instructed not to deal with the little bastards, but simply press the intercom call button and let the school resource officer (i.e. policeman) come into the classroom and shoot them. And at that age (kindergarten) there's no real difference in outcome between a 9mm and a taser.
