Anyone who has ever been burned Knows what a scorched fingertip is. I can't imagine having more burned skin than not.Who knows If she'll survive.. The van looks like a Mafia hit .
I worked with a guy who was a heavy smoker. One night, there was a gas leak in his apartment. The guy woke up and went to light a ciggy before he even got out of bed.
The explosion blew his window curtains all the way across the street. The man survived, but he took a horrendous burn to his forehead and scalp.
Unbelievable that anyone could survive being punched through a van door like that.
I worked with a guy who worked in a plastics plant as a plumber. He was standing by a valve that ruptured and coated him in molten plastic. He lived...but he was not happy about it. Over a year in a burn ward.
Propane is heavier than air. So a camp stove, probably propane fuel, you could have a nice mixture of gas right between the LEL and the HEL and click click click FOOM!
It would sure be good to know more details on the cause of the explosion, and if it was some sort of built in unit or a table top unit.
ReplyDeleteLike WC, I'm surprised she survived the blast and I pray she recovers.
ReplyDeleteMy FIL lit the furnace in his truck camper, and was blown 30 feet out the back door. Didn't get a scratch, but lost his eyebrows and mustache.
