#20, when Ronnie said that, it was true for the most part. unless you lived in some demorat city of course. used to live in Philly. up until 1968 when they built the projects nearby, we often didn't lock the doors. that all changed after the projects where built and the assholes moved in. you know when welfare started to pay women to have kids without a dad around. and just look at how well that has worked out for us too. dave in pa.
“ AB 1591—better known as the Mulford Act and named for its author, Alameda County Republican Assemblymember Don Mulford—banned the carrying of firearms in public, making it a felony to do so without a government-issued license.”
"...making it a felony to do so without a government-issued license.” Of course, the joker in the deck was you couldn't GET "a government-issued license" unless you were like Diane Feinstein.
while I appreciate a lot of what Rondog said and did, I personally don't give a fuck about what anyone else says. I started carrying a weapon in 1970 in S.E. Asia... and every day since then - even during years in Califuckya; and working the ramp at airpatches all over the country - I carry a gun. Always. Every fucking waking moment. I always have a firearm within reach, because I believe it is my responsibility to be well able to defend myself and those I hold dear. Some may disagree - and of course I don't give a fuck - but if you cannot defend yourself, you are a coward. And, nowadays; if you are out and about unarmed, not just a coward but a fucking ignorant one.
Same here, I put my gun in my holster as soon as I get out of bed in the morning and take it off only after my prayers are said and I'm going to bed. It's been that way all of my adult life, even the 35 years I was in California.
Same. Every day, all the time. Sometimes, like if I'm out doing my exercise walk around the neighborhood, it may just be my Ruger LCP II .22 LR but it is always something. A gun at home in the safe is worthless when the shit goes down.
yeah. I carried all the time back in Philly as well without a permit. after my time with Sam, I learned to carry without a holster. you can dump a gun in a hurry if need be. but getting rid of the holster, that a bit harder to do. had a no paperwork Mauser Hsc in 380 that was a ww2 bring back that I carried for years there. sold to a buddy of mine for the same reason- no paperwork on it. wish I kept it now a days though. it was a sweet weapon too. small, accurate as hell weapon. never a jam or anything that I remember. ,Magazines did cost a bit though for it. dave in pa.
It's interesting how they're trying to turn everyone into the Stasi. As if there wasn't already enough reason to completely distrust the medical profession.
Walked into court last year. Judge opened by announcing that while he did not discourage anyone from carrying in his court, if you pull it, he will shoot you. He had a pistol strapped on. Further stated that he wasn't a coward like certain other courts who have detectors all around.
Not to hear the cops tell it; to them, WE'RE the "civilians". To that, I say "If you don't draw a paycheck from DoD and aren't subject to the UCMJ, then YOU are the fucking civilian."
Reagan was known as "Red Ronnie" way back when. Seems he had an come to Jesus between then and more modern times. Hell, Charlton Heston was one of 4 major actors who championed for the gun control act of 68. Times/people change.

ReplyDeleteand just look at how well that has worked out for us too. dave in pa.
Nearly 60 years ago for #20. Today, there's not a good reason NOT to be carrying.
ReplyDeleteWhen he was Governor, he sure signed the Mulford Act quick enough.
DeleteDoubt Reagan ever said that. As I recall his detail let him carry a 1911.

I believe you!
DeleteThe internet is where you go when you’re tired of facts.
Aw, are you butthurt?
DeleteKen, some people like Lt. Daniel Kaffee just can't handle the truth.
DeleteReagan only meant them uppity Black Panther folks, not the rest of us.
DeleteNo politician should ever be looked at as a hero, they are all problematic at best.
Delete$20 is bullshit, Reagan never said that.
ReplyDeleteMaybe so, maybe not.
DeleteHe did however sign: “The state’s first major gun control law was signed in 1967 by Gov. Ronald Reagan.”

Thanks BP! 👍🏻
You handed the CA bureaucrat dipshits the reason for starting the gun laws they have now. 🙄

Reagan supported its passage and signed it into law.
The Black Panther Party was supporting black people owning and carrying firearms; many of their protests involved the open carry of long guns.

7) looks like Rainbow Bridge in southern Idaho. And a good use for chinesium screwdrivers
ReplyDelete#20 he's 10% right. You need at least two or three.
ReplyDelete#20--I guess Ronnie should have disarmed all the cops in California--they're not in the military. They're all civilians.

ReplyDeleteHowever, unlike Kamala, Donald Trump has only taken one shot to the face.

Yeah, but Charlton Heston went on to be the President of the NRA, so it makes sense he supported gun control.
