A bizarre arrest unfolded Wednesday morning in an area under an evacuation warning due to the Bridge Fire after deputies allegedly found two people in possession of drugs, evidence of theft and multiple wild opossums in their vehicle.
I know of no state with a closed season on possums, nor a pocession limit, to a permit required to pocess live ones. The possum info was just put in there to imflame the jury
Well since they didn't have cats we know they're not Haitians.

ReplyDeleteWhen evacuating, it is wise to have medications and emergency food sufficient for several days.
ReplyDeleteOne could argue that they left their window down, and the possums moved into the mobile snack shack.
ReplyDeleteAnother excuse they could use, is they were "saving" the possums from the fire.
Course, the fen/meth and paraphanelia, that's just to help uhhh.... Well, perhaps not...

ReplyDeleteI was offered a possum lunch once. I just grinned and declined. I hope it never comes to that.
