Police in Texas are investigating how a 5-year-old girl sleeping in a car got pulled away in a tow truck while her mother was nearby talking to a neighbor.
I don't understand, how fast was the tow truck going, with the car hooked up, that someone in a car couldn't catch up to and stop or get the plate and/or phone number to ??
Mother wasn't paying the car loan and the vehicle was getting repossessed. Plenty of YT videos showing tow drivers grabbing cars and securing them away from irate people.
It's a Class C misdemeanor to leave a child under seven years old in a car alone for more than five minutes, or if the child isn't supervised by someone at least 14 years old. Sounds like the mother should be facing charges.
Looks like someone had a quota and picked off an easy target.

ReplyDeleteThat's fine, but they aren't permitted to repo occupied vehicles. Its kidnapping, and I think it should be a felony.
