An empty two liter pop bottle with a couple of small holes pre-drilled into it makes a somewhat effective single-use silencer for a low velocity round. Or...so I've been told.
Except that the front sight prevents the bottle from sliding onto even a skinny barrel so you've got to hold it on with your free hand - right at the muzzle.
