I suppose that if I was to pick out one federal department which has clearly and provably been a detriment to the American people, the department of education isn't a bad pick.
Literacy rates really cratered after it was created, after all. I have absolutely nothing good to say about public education in general, but the lower the level that it's controlled at the less evil it tends to be. State departments of education should be abolished too.
Fed.Gov has no business funding state education. STATE! It (federal funding) has always been unconstitutional. Of course that has never mattered - for education or otherwise.

Good. I hope he guts every single federal agency, right down to the janitors. We'd never notice a drop in"service" with all those parasites gone.
