Police in Ohio are investigating after some thieves broke into a shoe store. It happened around 2 a.m. Oct. 8 at Sole Bros 513 in the downtown area. Here’s the kicker: According to the owner, the criminals stole 100 shoes — not pairs of shoes, but just the right ones. There were also some pairs of shoes taken along with clothing.
Shoe shipments in the old days were done only lefts, and then only rights to dissuade theft.
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine had his house burgled. His wife had a hanger where she kept several sets of earrings. The burglars took one from each set. At least they had a sense of humor.
ReplyDeleteThe thief obviously had no sole since he purposely targeted the right shoes, and ignored the incorrect ones which were left. What a heel.
ReplyDeleteWe were having a good day, bogs. We were all having a good day.
DeleteBack in the 60's workers at a shoe factory in Italy went on strike. They kept working but made only left shoes until their demands were met. Supposedly a true story.
