Cage training isn't harmful and prevents angry humans yelling and beating a dog.
The previous 3 stories show that Heinlein was right.
Anyone who clings to the historically untrue-and thoroughly immoral-doctrine that, 'violence never settles anything' I would advise to conjure the ghosts of Napoleon Bonaparte and the Duke of Wellington and let them debate it. The ghost of Hitler could referee, and the jury might well be the Dodo, the Great Auk and the Passenger Pigeon. Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and freedom.
It's a picture of a cute puppy and you're talking about beating dogs? Why don't you just appreciate the intent of the post? But as long as you brought it up, instead of cage training a dog, why not just train the dog to be left by itself? I've never had a dog that tore shit up when I was gone.
My son has a dog he adopted that has issues, especially with abandonment.... Nelly was about 3 when he got her and has had her for about 4 years.. She is a very nice dog but whatever happened to her in the past left a scar that she will probably not get past... She must be crated if she will be left alone for more than an hour minutes or so, she has destroyed a couch, a recliner and the mattress on his bed.. It's the crate or a sedative... She also has to have her toy in her mouth 90% of the time.. JD
I'll take you home with me and love you....cutie pie a spark of mischief that eye

Wire cutter at 8:50, I’ll second your reply and add my dogs have always known the yards boundaries (home) and respected it. Patience and training.
DeleteWith Canines, positive reinforcement works.
DeleteWith Homo Sapiens, not so much.

For the homo sapiens, it depends on the "reinforcement ", Elmo. Louisville Slugger for the win.
