A man accused of fatally shooting another man at a Florida restaurant after an argument over a jukebox song is facing murder charges.
Police say an argument between two men, 46-year-old Cesar Esquivel Estrada and 54-year-old Socorro Camacho, escalated into gun violence. The incident happened just before 1:30 a.m. last Monday at Antojitos Mexicanos, a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, according to WTVJ.
achy breaky ? nah...Im going with some Freddie Fender
ReplyDeleteIf it was Achy Breaky Heart I would say it was justified. Back in 1992 we took the kids on a pilgrimage to Lookout Mountain, the Jack Daniel's Distillery, the Grand Ole Opry, and Graceland. Billy Ray Cyrus had just released it and it was about third on the rotation of every radio station we could get . . . except maybe NPR.
ReplyDelete"Texas hold 'em" or maybe "Bubba shot the jukebox"
ReplyDeleteYeah, that one hit wonder got old quick.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Una Paloma Blancha?

There's a reason Weird Al lampooned it as "don't play that song, that achy breaky song, I just can't take it any more!"
ReplyDeleteI've probably listened to that version more than I have the original, but I essentially never listened to the radio, even back in the day, so there's that.

With those names it was some mexican shit

That's a really good point. Good enough to sort of invalidate the rest of the discussion about which song it was, because as far as I can tell no one here is into the Mexican shit.
DeleteI don't even know which Mexican song to mention ironically that nobody'd mentioned.

DeleteI missed a word when writing that post, what I meant to say is
Some Mexican rap shit.

I can hear the libtards now: "It's a gun problem! Get rid of all guns!"
ReplyDeleteAnd for me and for anyone with even just a half of a brain, it's a culture problem.
Damn. Lucky to have been born over 60 years ago. At our local bowling alley, punched in You Light Up My Life 5 times in bar area before going off to bowl. Bet they sold a few extra drinks that night.
