A homeowner in the Valley Glen neighborhood of Los Angeles subdued a man Thursday morning he says was squatting on his property – and it wasn’t the first time.
Thursday’s incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. at a two-story home on the 13500 block of Hart Street.
Mike Martirosyan said he was moving his trash out when he realized there was a light shining on the second floor.
"Authorities said the suspect was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor trespassing and was given $0 bail."
ReplyDeleteBecause of course he was. We're doomed.
Cost money to incarcerate. Money best used for virtue signals.
DeleteIt seems to me that the homeowner was living in the home while it was being renovated. The criminal was present in the portion of the second floor that was under renovation. At night. That isn't trespassing, that is burglary, no matter how long he has been doing it or why he was there.
ReplyDeleteSuspected ?? If you're living in my house without MY permission you are definitely a squatter

Allegedly
DeleteIf you're living in my house without MY permission you'll soon be dead under it.
DeleteMr. Martirosyan raised the valid point: Why pay taxes when the institutions they're paying for won't do their jobs?

The renovations should have included "burial of the pet dog" under the patio.
ReplyDeleteYou know they really are failing in the law. Why would you bother to call the cops about any damned thing if all they do is nothing? This is why vigilante is a thing. TANJ aint all about being stupid in America.
ReplyDelete$0 bail... that pretty much says it all.
