Judge strikes down Georgia ban on abortions, allowing them to resume beyond 6 weeks into pregnancy

A Georgia judge on Monday struck down the state's abortion law, which took effect in 2022 and effectively prohibited abortions beyond about six weeks of pregnancy.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney wrote in his order that the law violates Georgia's Constitution, finding that “liberty in Georgia includes in its meaning, in its protections, and in its bundle of rights the power of a woman to control her own body, to decide what happens to it and in it, and to reject state interference with her healthcare choices.”

  1. So just to make sure we truly understand this decision. The Judge is saying if the state does something that restricts your freedom, then you can do what you want anyway to end that restriction? To explain, I had stop the constant anger from all this bullshit. SO I have taken to playing their game with their rules. If they don't follow the law neither will I anymore. So now according to his highness the judge, anything that the states says or wants from me that restricts what I want is illegal and I don't have to comply. So if they then keep pushing it ,then in my estimation I can react in ways that will END their restrictions on me. Its my choice of ways to do that as a totally free and unrestricted person from state interference according to the judge only. I can only say one thing: Fucking Outstanding, Love you Judge. Judge McBurney for President.
Remember, You should have just ONE policy for the govt. They can only govern ONLY IF you allow it.......

  3. Something like " the right of the people to abort their children, shall not be infringed".
'Shall not be infringed'. Very powerful. I have seen that somewhere else, not sure WHERE.

  4. I wonder if this judge allows private citizens to have firearms in the courthouse - liberty, no infringement, and all that.

Judges these days are a greater danger than any other government official - especially Democrat ones. They are just as irrational and stupid as the Democrat politicians and voters but they have an extreme amount of power to impose their own singular will on everyone else.

If the state constitution allows, this judge should be removed from office.

  5. So if an unborn child is "A Woman's Body" then that precludes her from asking for Child Support if she decides to birth it then....Since she controls it's fate and all that, right? All up to her and stuff, so no one else has a say...

Pick one. Cannot have it both ways.

    1. Actually, they have ALWAYS had it both ways. In states that allow abortion using the reasoning cited (it's her body) they will also charge you with a double homicide if, say, your drunk driving accident results in a pregnant woman's death. Liberals are not famous for logic, only feelings.
