The sheetmetal of the hood rusted out under the trim, then the trim fell off, then they went 80 mph and shoved a lot of air under the sheetmetal, then somehow the hood latch held. Voila!
Some hood supplier back in 2000-ish China didn't spot weld (or glue) the entire hood skin. The front seam has been rusting for 20+ years. Over time, more and more air pressure gets inside the hood. Then one day at 75mph, boom! The front seam separates in a very spectacular manner. Jiffy Pop Escalade!
#1: There is a section of highway 2 in Alberta by Claresholm that is like that. The rcmp will close it when wind gets really bad to prevent trucks getting flipped.
....and by Gull Lake, and Pincher Creek occasionally. Had to reroute quite a distance around Gull Lake once because a train was derailed. The extreme low atmospheric pressure is because Trudeau and Ottawa suck so hard.
#9 was made the day after a 3 day weekend.
ReplyDelete#1: Welcome to Wyoming.
ReplyDeleteYep. Been up there on a similar road. I think I burned half of my tires in 1 trip.
Delete9 - how is that possible?

DeleteA good red-neck would paint #9 to look like a Largemouth Bass and add a few gills. Heck, they can put a video camera in front and drive by monitor.

#2 looks pretty tasty. Pretty sure I wouldn’t eat it off the floor though.

Just eat the top
DeleteRinse it off. It's fine.

#2 Did they mop the floors last night?
ReplyDelete#1 - Bought a MB 3500 High Cube Sprinter, 144" wheelbase in 2019. If the wind was 25+ mph, no way to drive it safely. Got blown sideways during gusts.
