A vast majority of voters want policies and procedures in place to guarantee the integrity of elections, according to new polling.
That includes 86 percent of those surveyed who agree that election officials should have access to all necessary information to verify that the number of ballots cast matches the number of voters, and 85 percent who say that election officials should verify the accuracy of the information they receive before signing off on certifying election results. Majorities of Republicans, Democrats and Independents support the proper verification of voting.
Democrats say they want election reform until they find out they'll never win another election.
ReplyDeleteHere in Michigan, we have over 500,000 more registered voters than we have voting aged people. Yet our Democrat S of S, Jocelyn Benson, refuses to purge the registration rolls of them. She says something about it being too close to the election.
ReplyDeleteThis is the same Benson who is likely to be the Democrats candidate in 2026 when the Empress of Lansing, Whitless, is forced out due to term limits. Of course those are the same term limits that the Democrats got onto the ballot to change so that it was more helpful to them. The citizens not understanding the change, thus voted to change our Constitution so that it is now not just law, but basically unchangeable law.
Pigpen, I was thinking about you today. Hadn't seen you around lately.
DeleteI have been out and about. My wife and 28 year old daughter both have health issues that keep me being "The Driver of the Car". Nothing super serious, just things that require them to see doctors, dentists, etc. fairly regularly.
DeleteMyself, I see my neurologist every 2 months to get nerve block shots in my neck and face, to help with migraines. They do help but they hurt like heck.
Hope you are doing well and stay safe this upcoming election and the days and weeks that follow.
My state - NH - just recently passed aa bill that requires proof of citizenship in order to register to vote. The governor signed it. Too bad that it doesn't go into effect until after the November 5th election.
DeleteTennessee requires a State issued ID to vote. It's rather refreshing.
DeletePaper ballots and purple thumbs.
