We honor the legacy of Bones, the 2X YETI World Champion Bull, who passed away peacefully at the age of 21 on the farm he called home in North Carolina since 2011. Widely considered the second-greatest bull in PBR history, Bones was more than just a competitor; he was a legend.
In 2014, Bones received the PBR Brand of Honor, recognizing his incredible contribution to the sport. Last summer, he was ranked No. 3 on the PBR Top 30 Greatest Bulls of All Time. From his impressive career to the respect and admiration he earned from riders and fans alike, Bones left an indelible mark on the sport of professional bull riding.
Join us as we look back at some of his best moments in the arena, celebrating the bull that will always be remembered as one of the all-time greats.
Thanks for this. I love your rodeo videos.

I'm not a rodeo fan (no animus; just not particularly interested, in spite of growing up in Texas), but I found those clips fascinating: that bull was a professional - he bucked off the riders and headed for the exit on his own. Didn't take the effort to ride him personally; just did his job and moved on. A smart animal.
ReplyDeleteNever rode a bull. As a kid we would jump on heifers that were in a big pen. They would buck like crazy and try to mash your legs into the walls. We used to come out covered in cowshit. Had to go to the milk house and hose off. If my Uncle had caught us he'd a kicked our asses up over our shoulders. The good ol daze.
ReplyDeleteI had an uncle that had some farm land with cattle, as a kid me and his youngest son would try and ride the calves..
DeleteThey put us into barb wire fences, trees, threw us into mud holes and jammed us into the side of the barn.
Those were great times
