No two words strike fear into a man more than "ruptured testicle."
Mats Zuccarello, the Minnesota Wild forward who stars on the top line with Kirill Kaprizov, knows all too well about the uncomfortable details associated with the below-the-belt injury.

Damn, few things feel worse than a shot to the nuts

I met him when he was playing for the Rangers. Nice guy who plays a big game for his size.
ReplyDeleteYou want to feel ruptured testicle? Watch the first season of "Special Ops: Lioness". Think it's on the 3rd disk.
ReplyDeleteYikes! Gives new meaning to "busting a nut." Thankfully, for him it sounds like all will be well.
ReplyDeleteI hate to say it, but this kind of injury happened to me when my brother karate kicked me in the nuts when I was 13. They were able to save the gear, but they had to fly me to another state to do the surgery. Was not pleasant at all, and the drain tube they put in hurt just like the original delirious injury when it came out. Was humiliating having docs and nurses checking out my junk every few hours.
ReplyDeleteThis is the same brother who years earlier shot me out of a tree with a pump-up bb gun... Man, I miss him since he died... He didn't miss me though...

I woke up one morning at fourteen years old with sharp pains in a nut.
DeleteThen it started swelling and didn't stop until it was as big as an orange.I went to the hospital for a week while recovering from "the mumps".
As it turned out, there are two "strings" that keep the nuts from twisting. One of mine had twisted enough to have strangled itself. A year later they had to go in to remove the affected one that had shrunk to about the size of a peanut and attached strings to the other one.
Fkng painfully!
New Zealand All Black Wayne Shelford had a similar issue but carried on playing.

It's rare but a Penile fracture is no fun either. Especially if peyronies sets in and it usually does.
