dentex- thats a rough one, had a golden lab for about that long...he still occupies my brain where the good things in life are fondly stored...keep your eyes & ears open for another, one day. i ended up with a female red bloodhound / black lab, she is such a good girl but they never really replace each other, they just start you on a new journey
You can wake me like that every morn. My Lab Maggie Mae gently brushes her whiskers on my arm or hand every morning to see if I'm awake. If I don't respond she lays down then later does it again until I finally give her a pet. She sleeps on a rug right beside me every night.
We've got a 2 year old dog that does that
ReplyDeleteFor 11 years and up until last Saturday I had a 75 pound Yellow Lab that did that every morning. How I miss those morning kisses.
ReplyDeleteIt's a heartbreaker, I know.
DeleteDentex: ditto on the labs. The only consolation is another, a new chapter. Build the new into the old
DeleteSorry,sir.
Yeah, they can break your heart, but making you smile first thing in the morning.....priceless!

My little Havanese every morning. She lays there patiently until I wake up then wants belly rubs
