Oh, go on! Pet the bear!

Some people were seen being perhaps a little too relaxed in the presence of a large bear that was taking an evening stroll through Whistler recently.

Svitlana Shyliakova, who captured video of the scene from a safe distance, told Storyful she was returning to her hotel in the British Columbia resort town when someone warned her about the bear.

  3. People have for the most part lived so comfortably in their little internet safe spaces that they’ve lost the ability to recognize danger. And they’ll whip out their idiot boxes and record it when things do go wrong. Boggles the mind. As things continue to fall apart as I am convinced they will, fewer and fewer will survive their wake up call.

If you ever saw the ripped apart steel ice chest that was at the museum in Sequoia NP, you'd think twice about getting too close to something capable of doin that.

  7. We have bears at work. We carry bear kits and avoid them at all times. People who think they are pets are idiots.

  8. The sad part is if the bear did thin the herd a bit it would be punished and or killed all due to human arrogance and ignorance.

  9. The lives most of us live do divorce us from most consequences. I've never been hungry and not known where or when my next meal was coming from. The furthest reach for me was missing chow sunday evening and not having food till the next morning when the mess hall opened. I've never been homeless. If a bad blizzard comes, i stay home. Oh my, the store was out of milk, guess I'll drink my coffee black. No its just not possible that fluffy cow or yogi bear could be anything but as sweet as my cockapoo puppy.
