Peanut, the social media star squirrel at the center of a national furor after it was seized from its owner in upstate New York and euthanized, has tested negative for rabies, a county official said Tuesday.
There was never a reason to believe that the animals had rabies or distemper.
They had both been "inside" animals, not having contact with other wildlife, for a long time. A simple 10 day quarantine would have sufficed to meet the standards for good health.
Make no mistake, this was vengeance on their owner for not obeying.
If ever there is a good reason for back alley hickory shampoo and a steel toe massage this is it.
This is good news: Peanut was not a threat to national health and safety. Neither were the 50,000 aborted babies who all tested negative for rabies last year.
I feel good that we're all being taken good care of.
Squirrels, mice, and other small rodents have only very rarely been found to have rabies and have never been known to transmit to humans or other animals. They don't even recommend treatment for a bite unless the animal appears to be sick. <Thats from the internet. I was hand feeding one of my yard squirrels a peanut once. Fucker bit me while grabbing the nut, I bled and cussed, squirrel sat in tree and barked at me. I didn't seek treatment and didn't get rabies.
Been keeping my eyes peeled for blue bracelet wearing bald lunatics to avoid, but oddly haven't run across any yet here in West By God Virginia. Keeping my head on a swivel, though, ya never know. Eod1sg Ret
Well the four legged animals weren't rabid. Now lets test the two legged animals that made all this possible ... including the nice lady that made the complaint. Ill bet most come back positive this time.
Leftists are simply murderous bastards.

What? A House pet someone had for seven years didn't have rabies?

We should test all of the rabid democrats who are exhibiting troubling behavior- if they come back negative, well, our bad-

This is an example of what they would do to us if they could get away with it and it's not far off

ReplyDeletePerhaps we should subject the brains of the P'Nut killers to a rabies inspection under a microscope.
ReplyDeleteDid they test the asshole who euthanized them for rabies?
ReplyDeleteThose folks suffer from a different ailment, one that manifests as green/blue hair and mask wearing.

ReplyDeleteSurely their demise influenced many people’s votes. Their deaths were not in vain. Long live Peanut and Fred
