WHIDBEY ISLAND, Wash. (KIRO) - Halloween may be over but one couple in Washington state was recently living in a real-life horror story.
Their dream home on Whidbey Island was infested with “thousands of bats.”
The couple said they did not know about the bats and the home passed the inspection when they bought it.
My daughter went through this scenario last year with her 1880's victorian house. Turned out it is AGAINST THE LAW to kill them. They ultimately did the "funnel exist" method. I won't go into the details but it did cost them a couple thousand dollars that the parents of 6 little children did not have. The bastards who make laws regarding animal control - biopoliticians - need extincting.
ReplyDeleteShould be at least a couple lawsuits in there.
ReplyDeleteIn my experience, home inspectors just go through the motions.
ReplyDeleteTrade ya my scorpions for your bats.
ReplyDeleteHad a couple of scorpions come into the house for the first time this summer; spread some diatomaceous earth around both doorways & haven't seen one since.
DeleteEver shine a UV light on one?
They glow like mad.

Yep, got my introduction to scorps just recently after buying a small ranch in South Tejas this summer. The first time I found one with the UV light I was so impressed I went and got the cell to take a picture before slapping the little bugger into next week with a spatula. Fortunately, they don't move too fast. Eerie, green glow, like little electric lobsters.
