Trump Will Need Cooperation from Maduro Regime for Mass Deportations, Experts Say

President-elect Donald Trump could reach an immigration agreement with the Maduro regime, in an attempt to advance his mass deportation plans, according to experts.

Venezuela is not currently accepting deportees from the United States, but Trump’s plans could force Maduro to reach a deal, said Ryan Berg, who directs the Future of Venezuela Initiative, a Washington, D.C. think tank at the Center for Strategic & International Studies.

  3. I bet if you loaded them up an a C130 and pushed them out of the plane in a flyover of the capital they would accept them.

  4. The US has crimmigrants from all over the world. But if we can't return the Venezuelan ones directly we can motivate them to self deport their way back by throwing the ones we do catch into prison.

    1. Won't work. Our worst prisons are better than the shithole they came from.

    2. Again... prison costs money.
Besides, who said they have to go back to the country they came from? Drop them into any place that's convenient.

    3. If we seriously fined and/or imprisoned anyone found employing any illegal, eliminate all free medical, schooling, reduce housing, food stamps, etc they would leave..

  5. $100,000 fine for any business hiring an illegal. Per day. Per individual.
No welfare, medical, food stamps, or education for any undocumented individual.
They will self deport post haste.

    1. That fine already exists. But it's not been enforced.

Just like 10 year prison terms mandatory and then auto deportation with life-time ban for voting illegally as an illegal. On the books since the 1990s, never enforced. Ever.

We have all the laws already on the books to take care of any illegal, from just a border crosser to illegally entered murder thug or terrorist. All the penalties for said laws also on the books

    1. Nah. Tell Maduro to name a government official he doesn't like. Next week have a Reaper drone take out the official. Next day, ask Maduro where he wants his citizens delivered.

  7. A carrier target group off Caracas would be more effective and long lived than in the Persian Gulf or off Yemen. Until the Russians supply Kinzhal and Zirkon to Venezuela, as turnabout for ATACMS and Himars and F16 and Storm Shadow and Abrams and Bradleys and 75k KIA in Ukraine.

  8. Much cheaper solution, surplus Korea and older rafts, some old rations/water cans and dump them off a ship at 12.2 miles from the coast of Venezuela. Row, swim or sink.
Might want air cover just in case the Venezuelan navy lacks good location data. Bet we could return 3000 per shipload without any major issues. Of course, if we rent a few container ships, maybe 10,000 per load.

  9. Won’t need any cooperation from Maduro if the government rounds all of them up, grinds them all up and turns them all into dog food to be donated to shelters all across the country. Win-Win!

  10. Since the US recognizes Edmundo González as president of Venezuela, any discussion should be with him. Trump should not acknowledge Maduro's existence.

  15. No need to return them to Venezuela. Just dump them in Mexico. Mexico helped them get here. Mexico can deal with sending them south.
