The details of what a mass deportation under President-elect Donald Trump could look like are still rolling out, but for undocumented families who have been in California's Central Valley for decades, they're worried.
In San Joaquin County county, agriculture is number one. There are roughly 340,000 farmworkers in the county, and a majority of them are undocumented.
Not gonna happen. Trump says a lot of cool stuff (“Because you’d be in jail,” “we’re gonna build a wall and Mexico will pay for it!”) that (sadly) never actually get done.
ReplyDeleteAnd "I have a team in Hawaii looking into Obama's birth certificate, you won't believe what they're finding!" Welllllllllll---
DeleteThey got fried in the, um, wildfire.
DeleteWell, goodbye. Maybe, instead of breaking the law for decades, they should have applied to stay legally.
ReplyDeleteThey could not become US citizens because then they would want a W-2 for social security, unemployment, workmens comp. In other words they would be unemployable.
DeleteIf you have an employer to sponsor you, after decades, shouldn't be a problem.

Nope. If you came here illegally you can go post haste. If you want back in you can try knocking on the door instead of climbing through the window. Allow me to quote someone I fully agree with on the matter.

This has been a controversial topic, so I’d just like to make myself very clear:
Yes, I support mass deportations.
Yes, I’d want my neighbor to get rounded up and sent back if he was here illegally. Yes, I think entire families should be sent back.
Yes, I think any children born here whose parents are illegal should go back with them.
Yes, I want Trump to go to war against the cartels.
Yes, I want our borders tight.
Yes, I want our legal immigration system to be very strict and scrutinized. We [neither need nor have] to accept everyone who applies.
No… I don’t want another girl to be murdered because an illegal came here and exploited our broken system.
*whew* Glad to get that off my chest. Hope that clears it all up.
Trump's going to go after the violent criminal element of the illegal aliens from day one. However using the term "migrant" doesn't mitigate the fact they, both violent or benign worker bees, all broke U.S. Federal law. They are all law breakers and emotional reacting should not come into play.
ReplyDeleteSince California is trying to get rid of the central valley farmers anyway (taking away their water rights), the migrant farm workers won't really be required anyway.
ReplyDeleteCalifornia does not need farm workers, they don't need farms. They get their food from grocery stores, and that's all they need.
DeleteOh no. Anyway.
ReplyDeleteOne question that is bothering me: they have been illegal in the United States "for decades".
ReplyDeleteWhy have they never attempted to become legal?
Apparently there was never enough benefit to bother nor enough disadvantage to bother.
Oh, and one more question: the article says that they "pay their taxes". Seriously, how does someone without a social security number pay their federal taxes?
Three strike law - no exceptions:
ReplyDelete1) No arrests for any reason. No DUIs, criminal mischief, drug dealing - zero. After legal system finishes with you - out of the country for Life.
2) No USA public assistance. Period. Until you are a legal US citizen, you are not to accept any tax payer public paid charity. School lunch is not part of this is local schools pay off for everybody. No housing - phone - EBT.
3) Once ruling is made, you have a week to pack up and be ready to move out of country. Accept the decision and when relocated to other country, can begin legal process of becoming legal.
I think more than fair. Some countries will not allow you to stay without having a job already lined up. They don't want to increase their welfare roles either.
I don't think we actually have a news agency in this country.
ReplyDeleteA "migrant worker" should have an H1-B Visa, which allowed them to be in this country legally, and to work. Calling a Foreign National who breached our border anything else is gobbledygook invented by attorneys and special interests.
Maybe if the government would penalize the farmers for hiring these people things would change, but I don't see that happening
ReplyDeleteThe correct legal term is "illegal alien ", not to be confused with immigrants. Word-bending fucking idiots. If you came into the United States illegally, you have committed a felony on day one, and should be treated like a felon.
ReplyDeleteDo you think that deporting illegals that are convicted felons…..
ReplyDeleteand the arrested/charged felons might cut crime in the US…..????
Yeah…..it’s a good start…..it just needs a good follow thru.

All he really needs to do is cut government aid to state back to 2007 limits. There were far, far, fewer illegal aliens then.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget the workers, but dear god, please go after their employers, with guns.
ReplyDeleteBack in the 80's border agents would raid several businesses in San Diego....arresting hundreds ..I've even seen them being chased down Black's Beach and San Onofre, often times staging paddy wagons at various locations.....but it didn't interrupt my cold beer as I watched.. .
ReplyDeleteThere's a whole bunch of welfare recipients and homeless just sitting around looking for something to do
ReplyDeleteThis. Nothin says "I need a better job" than effort based welfare. I'm tired of feeding parasite, in the welfare lines AND in our government. "Learn to code, cocksuckers".
DeleteThis Rag reports on one family that has been here at least 20 years? my question is why they no apply for citzenship esse
ReplyDeleteOnce the free shit dries up after Jan 20 next year; housing in first class hotels and money for food and other things, they really only have two choices: become a criminal to support themselves or go back to the life they left in their home country.
ReplyDeleteNot only is the U.S. Gov culpable here, but also numerous NGO's, especially Christian charity organizations, that have been facilitating the journey from S. America to our southern border.
You don't really think all these people, especially "unaccompanied minors", are walking a thousand or more miles from S. America do you? Those video's that the press plays occasionally, to tug at out heart strings, of people walking along roads SOMEWHERE are all staged for the camera's.
How are they getting food and water? Where are they sleeping after their so called long daytime walks. Do you know how many calories are required for a person to sustain a walking pace of 15-20 miles per day? Why are women that supposedly walked a thousand miles or more still fat when they get here?
They're being bussed here by Christian charity NGO's. Org's like Samaritan's Purse, Catholic Charities and every other national and international Christian charity organization are paying for the diesel and food and water to get these people here. They're sleeping in church's along the route and being fed by the local church organizations with funds supplied by the org's that are paying for the buses.
How are people from island nations in the Caribbean getting to Mexico and/or S. America? Are they swimming? What about people from
Africa, China and the Middle East? Are they swimming too?
An operation of this size can only be facilitated by a government using intermediaries to hide what's really going on. You think all of those BILLIONS that are being funneled to Ukraine are actually being used to fight the war?
I just hope that someone in the Trump government has the smarts and tenacity to get to the real truth. The recent revelation that FEMA is broke because the Demonrats have been funneling funds allocated for disaster relief for Illegal alien "resettlement" is only the tip of ice berg. Notice how quickly that got memory holed by the press?
There's a whole pant load of shenanigans going on here that are going to stun the world if the truth ever comes out and a whole bunch of heads that need to roll starting with Obozo, Bribem, Hitlery and Piglosi.
