A taste of Tennessee without ever leaving California
A tornado touched down in the Northern California town of Scotts Valley near Santa Cruz Saturday afternoon, flipping cars and knocking down power lines, according to authorities. Several people were hurt, fire officials said.
I've lived in both central/northern California and Oklahoma. California has glorified dust devils with very rare exceptions which is why there's minimal damage. Once you've experienced a real tornado or seen the damage from a near miss, you'll never confuse them again.
Now if all goes well, we can expect tsunamis in Oklahoma.
ReplyDeleteIf Yellowstone has the volcanic event that's been predicted I wouldn't rule that out Anon.
DeleteI hope not. If they come from the south my town is in the line of fire. If they come from the any other direction my town is in the drainage.
DeleteThis happens about once a year with minimal damage somewhere in norcal. It's not climate change.

DeleteDoes this mean we have to start having earthquakes? All things being equal, I'd rather dodge funnel clouds than skate on techtonics.
