Commentary: America Must Stay Out of the Crisis in Syria

After the sudden overthrow of Syria’s brutal dictator Bashar al-Assad, there has been plenty of media commentary expressing optimism about the likely new Syrian government led by the rebel group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). Although this group is a former al Qaeda offshoot, it claims to have reformed, intends to establish a moderate and tolerant government, and plans to hold elections.

  2. Fuck all those little assed countries. Let them kill each other like they have for years. When they become a threat to us or attack us in any fashion light the sons a bitches up like a xmas tree. No holds barred, just hammer them from afar for days or weeks. Eventually even those stupid bastards will figure it out.

    1. Muslims seek religious genocide everywhere they exist. They are a cancer that will grow and destroy any society foolish enough to allow them in. And the US is plenty foolish enough, it is a paper tiger that will never fight to win a war against its enemies anymore. Witness the Houthi, where we blow up empty shacks and call them command and control centers.

What you say makes sense, but most US people are senseless and think of the military as a big police force rather than a war fighting force.

  3. America caused the crisis in Syria, and exported it to my homeland...I will have compassion some folks in the fUSA, some of my compatriots, and even some syrians, but for the rest....let's drop the pretence and get to the killing, since that is the desired outcome.

  4. If there's billions to be made on the backs of hundreds of thousands of people being killed the American Military Industrial Complex working with the fucking politicians you can bet will be Iran 2.0 unless Trump can rein in the cabal of high ranking warmongers

  6. "America caused the crisis in Syria..."

Riiiiight. Suuure. Cause All The Bad Things Everywhere started 250 years ago when George Washington killed John Ross Ewing Jr. with a cherry tree log.

Strange how there's never blame towards the Ottoman Empire, England, France, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Russia, China, and all the other corrupt dictatorships which both began and/or continue the Mid East Mess(tm). And of course there's never blame for the poor, innocent regional natives and what role their own cultural mores play in their fate.

    We ain't buyin any, Stefan.

"...and exported it to my homeland..."

I'm not guessing where your "homeland" may be, but given the context of the Mid East Mess(tm), I will point out that certain religious faiths are long overdue for major internal reforms. You might call it a "protestant reformation" of sorts. It's been all the rage since about 1520.

  7. How about control all the borders...including those in the sky. No one from the middle east allowed to come here without a verified reason; at all. Shut down their ability to get here. It should have happened after 9/11.

    Cheers

  8. America started the crisis.
America has been involved for a decade.
Now that America has achieved the goal of destroying Syria…they should stay away.
