Commentary: With the DOGE Acts, Republicans Have a Plan to Eliminate Government Waste

More than 248 years ago, our Founding Fathers established our nation on the principle that government should be accountable to We the People.

Under the Biden-Harris administration, though, we have seen that principle erode as the government becomes increasingly unaccountable with wasteful spending and a growing bureaucracy.

  1. Republicans: "Can you believe those democrats want to increase the budget to $15 trillion??? This is preposterous and evil! Under our conservative republican plan, we'll limit spending to only $14.99 trillion!"

  2. The deepstate bureaucrats are well dug in and have been since before 1963 (when Kennedy was replaced by a businessman who knew how things worked). The cabal currently running things likes it the way it is.
I think it can be done (or at least started!) but it's not going to be easy..

  3. DOGE is a great idea, but as usual the neurotic Democrats will employ their usual sue, sue, sue tactics. The liberal judges will rubber stamp their suits and the Republicans will look like the same goofy gormless idiots they always have been.

  4. History shows that the problem has been around for a very long time. We all have heard the stories about how relatives of highly placed officials either get plumb positions or even have positions made for them to be on the government payroll. I read recently that when Elon took over twitter he put in a 16 hour day during which he gave a lot of the employees 5 minutes each to tell him what they did for the company. Think that same tactic would do well here.
