KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Billboard’s list of the 100 Greatest Country Artists of All Time had no shortage of performers from the Volunteer State to choose from, but one beloved East Tennessean was left standing above the rest.
Dolly Parton topped the list that the music and entertainment outlet unveiled throughout the month of November. The Sevierville native placed ahead of fellow country icons like Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn and Willie Nelson amongst the top five.
Dolly is awesome and she'll always be a favorite. One of her songs "Hello God" is so inspirational. But then again I like all her music I grew up with her music and shows.
ReplyDeleteI was nodding in agreement until I got to the part of the article where Johnny Cash is mentioned and then I started thinking: I mean Dolly is a wonderful singer, and an admirable woman as well...but Loretta and Hank and....
ReplyDeleteNo fair. She just floated to the top.
ReplyDeleteAnother jab pusher. Fuck em.
ReplyDeleteYou beat me to it, exactly what i thought when I saw her name.
DeleteWonder how all these celeb jab pushers are gonna feel when/if they finally realize that they killed or maimed their fans?
And lets not forget "The Father of The Vaccine" either.
To say I disagree with that list is an understatement.
ReplyDeleteIt was obviously compiled by a social justice warrior.
Or a bunch of gay men. Gays just love Dolly.
DeleteDolly's #1? Gee I'm disappointed. I was rooting for Taylor.
ReplyDeleteTwo words: Patsy Cline
ReplyDeleteI don't recall any negative press about her behavior, performances and personal relationships. Her career spans about 50 years plus or minus, with people searching and watching for anything bad to say about another.
ReplyDeleteI'd say she earned her nomination. Well done ma'am.
Dolly is from Pigeon Ford, which is not the same as Sevierville.
ReplyDeleteShe’s a major league lefty pro faggot Obama and Biden supporter. Her music sucks.
ReplyDeleteShe gives back to the community. The literacy rate is almost 100% in eastern Tennessee because of her. She has an eagle rescue program and has given generously to universities that do eagle research.
