my dad ran a concrete crew. you have no idea how many times I seen morons do just that. honest to GOD. I used one of them at the age of 12. sure beat mixing it by hand ! that was dad's idea of summer vacation. it wasn't till later on in life did I realize what he had done for me by doing that. although I didn't think so at the time. water, then stone. followed by sand. then you add the cement and mix until a even color too much water and you have a mess. same deal if you add too little . from the look of it, he didn't add enough water and it sticking to the sides.
#8 looks like it was a deliberate power off landing - neither prop was rotating and one looked as though it had been moved to the position of least damage to prop, hub, and crankshaft. Maybe a failure of the hydraulics in the landing gear. I only ever flew little trainers but some friends had more complex aircraft. Some of the smaller twins were apparently pretty darn dangerous in a one engine out scenario ie.you’d only have a few seconds to pull power off, feather the dead prop and re-trim or you were going to lose control.
I'd like to know the final results of #1!
ReplyDelete#1. How did it end? Don't leave us hanging.
ReplyDeleteHe died...

And if he did not die, he probably wished that he did.

He snagged the shovel in the beater bar. Seen it happen plenty of times with newbies. I'm surprised #2 guy didn't get a bell ringer.
