brings back memories of college where the city (poorly) installed parking meters within the campus. they barely put them 2' in the ground with a cement anchoring about the size of a volleyball. Anyone could, and many did, just rocked them a few times and tipped them over because they were so easy to do and they were upset about the newly added parking meters. Some frat brothers may or may not have brought them into the college dorms where they could be drilled out and coins collected for beer money.
Walked out of a city of Sacramento planning commission hearing last night around 8:30 pm to a drug addiction hell scape, in the cold, rain and wind under the portico. Good god…Legio XIX
WE used to have 'em here in the early 60's, and on a slow day at the Radio Station I'd walk over to the bank, get a roll of pennies, and walk a half-block ahead of the Meter Maids, putting pennies in expired meters. They threatened to have me arrested, I asked why ? for giving my money away ?
“What we have heaa….”
ReplyDeleteIt ain't CHL - he used a pipe cutter.
ReplyDeleteAs long as they never steal more than $950 from each meter they'll get a "Good job, try again" from Kalifornia governments.
