As New York City prosecutors worked Thursday to bring murder charges against Luigi Mangione in the brazen killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, supporters of the suspect are donating tens of thousands of dollars for a defense fund established for him, leaving law enforcement officials worried Mangione is being turned into a martyr.
Several online defense funds have been created for Mangione by anonymous people, including one on the crowdfunding website GiveSendGo that as of Thursday afternoon had raised over $50,000.
He hath done The Good Lord's work!
ReplyDeleteIf as you say there's a "Good Lord" and a "Bad Lord" aka Beelzebub, Is there a "So-So or Mediocre” Lord Anon? Just wondering
DeleteFunny that givesendgo is allowing donations, they ban collecting for criminal defense. They banned donations for J6 people and when Penny and Rittenhouse were charged.
ReplyDeleteBut they allow it for a murderr?

It looks like GiveSendGo does allow J6ers (at least) on their platform. GoFundMe is the hypocritical, left-wing site that discriminates against perceived conservatives.
DeleteTry searching J6 GiveSendGo.
Alleged
DeleteOkay, I admit that I'm tired of people having to use "alleged" (mainly to keep from being sued) and people tossing out "innocent until proven guilty."
DeleteIf you presume someone is innocent, do you lock them up and prosecute them? If you presume someone is innocent, do you make them spend their life saving defending themselves? Or do you only do those things to people you think are guilty? The only people that must "presume" innocence are the jurors -- not the prosecution and not the public at large. I'm not even convinced that the judge "presumes" the defendant is innocent (if the judge did, then all bail would consistently be "own recognizance" since they are, presumably, innocent).
Yes, you think they are guilty. But until guilt can be established in accordance to the law, they are innocent.
DeleteIf that were not so, courts would not be needed. A cop, or any govt worker, could simply charge, convict, and pass sentence. Let's not wait for that, let the people sling a rope over a tree limb and pass sentence based on a hunch.
As for judges, they shouldn't presume one way or the other. Corrupt judges do that.
DeleteA judge is there to make sure the law is followed during the proceedings to establish guilt or not.
So Rick, do you charge a huge sum to someone you presume is innocent, and if the innocent doesn't pay it, toss them in jail for up to a few years until you get around to listening to the prosecution and their defense? Or do you only do that to someone you presume is guilty?
DeleteIf you actually want government to do thst to someone they presume is innocent, I don't think much of your government.
yeah. kind of odd that all of these NON profit groups have billions left over at the end of EVERY year ? I for one, can not stand big blue. paid God knows how much into that rip off
ReplyDeleteonly to get "it's not covered" back from them. here a fun fact. the VA wants you to list all forms of insurance you may have. and they bill said insurance assholes. not that they get paid anything by them. (thanks Obamacare) I had blue cross for years and they never paid shit to anyone. but every year they have a 5-10 billion surplus in the state of PA alone.
but the CEO gets over what 5-10 million a year plus bonuses ?
other than the banks, medical insurance companies have driven more people broke because of bills they refused to pay while keeping billions for themselves.
so, yeah. I understand why the kid did it. I have thought of doing the same myself after blowing my retirement money on medical bills and still almost losing my house to them
bastards. I wonder how bad the people of western NC are getting fucked by their insurance companies right now ? we all know that the feds are fucking them bigtime while giving billions away to asshole outside of the US .
it kind of a wonder there aren't more bastards getting shot down in the streets like the mad dogs they are. the thing is if more people get the idea why he did it, the more people will tend to agree with why he did it. Obamacare has given the insurance companies the reason to fuck everyone over, the patients who pay for it and the doc's and hospitals to do the care/work. this is also why you never see small town doc shops anymore.
they never get paid for their work by the big insurance companies. and nothing ever happens to them either. they just take your money and bank it.
so, if this make them rethink how they do things, It might be a good thing. dave in pa.
Allegedly. Things don't quite add up. We are lead to believe that this guy was so careless as to shed clues for investigators. Then when caught a week later he has a manifesto and a confession on him.
DeleteYou mean he was seen out and about for a week carrying on like normal, certainly not as if he was the subject of a man hunt. You mean he carried the manifesto for all that time? When caught, he's wearing the same jacket, although a slightly different color, he's changed his physical appearance, grew a bushier eyebrow, and lost a few inches in height.
Name another person that so soon after he's caught on the charge of murder, that so much is known about him. Tell why we should not think we're being manipulated into believing he's the guy?
Don't forget so many other shooters were duped or had connections with govt spooks.
He's getting Oswalded?
DeleteThere's SO MUCH that doesn't add up about the narrative here.
