#4 - I hope it hurt AND cost a lot to get the dings out of your bike #8 - Stupid is as stupid does. #10 -- And good-bye license when you are taken to court for reckless riding and vandalizing a car. F'n moto riders who think they have the right of weight and cars need to avoid them....
Ricky, baby,.,. the MC has the same rights to the road as a car. Turning in on him like that could be considered attempted murder. Just 'cause you are bigger don't make you right.
Clearly they do not have the "right of weight" in which you claim. I agree that the car does weigh more. That being said, the rider here did have the right of way.
Judging by the clip, the "moto rider" was moving at the same speed as the suv ahead of him, nor do I see any reckless behavior prior to him hitting the mirror. Any jumpiness in the video is from a helmet mounted cam. Also the driver of the car did not use her signal before doing a lane change. This one's on the driver not paying attention. -lg
Two wrongs don't make a right. The car was wrong for the unsafe lane change. The biker was wrong for vandalism. I don't know why when we see these things we have to declare kne the devil and one an angel. Theyre are both perfectly capable of being in the wrong. On rare occasion, both can be interpreted right.
I almost changed lanes into a biker that I didn't see when I checked my mirror. As soon as I saw him I moved back over. He came over and slapped my mirror so I ran him off the road. I've crossed the country on a motorcycle four times so I know what it's like to ride. I also know that bikers can be entitled fucks just like bicyclists.
Steve P, The moto rider who slapped your mirror was an uncontrolled small minded man and you were a more uncontrolled smaller minded man that day. Did you ever think about the fact that you used deadly force to force him off the road and he would have been fully justified using deadly force to stop your attack? Engage brain, not ego next time.
I saw an ignorant person's review of a product where they gave a negative review because of the Prop 65 warning that came with the product. She clearly didn't realize that Prop 65 mandated universal stupidity.
That person is obviously a California resident who voted in favor of Prop 65 and who believes California state government exists to solve all of her problems.
She probably also voted to outlaw the hunting of mountain lions and doesn't understand where all of her cats keep disappearing to.
Car didn’t signal and was on the phone. Could have ended with a manslaughter charge. A broken mirror is getting off easy and a reminder to look next time.
You are correct, the grown up thing to do when someone tries to kill you is what? This guy just gave a gentle warning to pay attention. You should remove your head from its current storage location before driving yourself.
Perhaps you didn't see the beginning of the video and phone in the car driver's hand as the biker passed and was almost run down by her... "Moped handlebars, girlie mirrors, riding gloves" or not, the biker had the right-of-way. He was right in the center of his lane; not in the car driver's blind spot. The driver of the car changed lanes, without signaling, right in to him. This has obviously not happened to you... again and again and again...
Hang on a second. Nobody that has responded to this one has pointed out that the driver of the car was on their phone, texting ! ! There is one root cause. How many times have you watched a light turn green, only to have the car in front of you sit there, because of the same thing? Distracted driving is a killer, and not just to motorcyclists.
The moto rider has the same legal rights on the road, but he also has the reality that he will lose any interaction with a car. Why didn't he brake or swerve? That, and vandalizing the car made him in the wrong.
#10 The car driver did signal a lane change. Regardless of who is right the biker should have backed off if just for his own safety. #4 Hope both his medical and vehicle insurance companier told him to f....ff.
Over 40 years of riding and racing motorcycles taught me that when you are on a motorcycle, you are invisible. Riding with that in mind keeps you alive.

DeleteBreaking a mirror in that instance was wrong, can you imagine running you car into someone that cut you off and blaming them? Have fun in court.
DeleteYou tried to kill someone because they slapped your mirror? I don't care if you rode a motorcycle to the moon, you, sir, are a fucking asshole.
DeleteUnfortunately these days nobody is at fault and the insurance companies just iron it out.

Delete#1: California, adding prop 65 stickers warning people that adding prop 65 stickers may cause cancer. 🤔😇🤣 How nice of them!
ReplyDelete"Prop 65 Warning: Breathing dust from wood products can cause cancer."
DeleteThat's right. According to the brainiacs that control California, sawdust is a known carcinogen.

DeleteFine particle sawdust can cause lung cancer. Or 'wood lung' which is kind of like coalminer's black lung.
DeleteSmall particles of any sort are bad to breathe.
But, yeah, fuck California.

#10 Moped handlebars, girlie mirrors, riding gloves throws a fit. It's not always easy to see bikes in blind spots. Grow up.

ReplyDeleteI can tell you've never driven a motorcycle. If you'll watch the video again, you'll see that he did swerve.
Delete"Driven"?
DeleteYes, driven. I control my bikes, so I drive them. It's not a hard concept to understand.
DeleteAnything you straddle you are "riding". As in "riding upon" as opposed to "driving in".
DeleteNot a difficult distinction-for most.
