  1. Just in case you don't get #2, the ability to pay your monthly PG&E bill is roughly the equivalent of being able to afford monthly payments on a $300,000 Ferrari.

    4. If you're having to make monthly payments on a Ferrari, there's something pretty messed up about your life priorities.

I carry one of these all the time. Funny as hell to shut TVs off when CNN is on.

  4. #2 Surely if the electricity is that expensive it would be cheaper to run your own diesel gennie. Here in the UK our stupid lefty government is doing its best to screw up our power supply. I have been pricing up the potential cost of installing a diesel generator and it comes to a couple of thousand pounds. Here we have diesel for road use which has a great load of fuel duty added to the price by the government. Diesel for domestic heating, farms and industrial applications comes with red dye added to it. It is free from fuel duty. The red dye is there so that they can catch anyone who uses it as road fuel. I also suspect that modern hi-tech turbo diesels might not like industrial diesel much.

    1. California is actively banning diesel. I think they've already picked the date where you'll no longer be able to sell it in the state (but I could be wrong).

    2. They promised 20 years ago, and truck and trains promised to unload in Needles and let them walk the ice cream across San Bernardino county if that's the way you want to play.
