Biden EV Road Trip Stunt Was Worse Than First Thought
When Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and her staff of clowns bungled a four-day ramble in 2023 to show off the wonder of electric vehicles, the lasting impression would be the report of her advance team blocking an open charger so she wouldn’t have to wait for one. A federal report, however, reveals details that cast the entire charade in an even worse light.

Starker here,
ReplyDeleteI just mapped this trip. I did not include their special stops.
But straight drive is avg 637 miles & 10 hours 40 minutes. But FJB's group spent nearly $125K on that trip. That's a 1-2 day drive.
12 or so years ago I drove from Cherokee NC home in far Eastern Pennsylvania as a one day trip with my wife and boys in the car. We talked about stopping & everyone agreed to keep going. No EV could make that trip.
Oh if interested check out YouTube channel Robot Cantina he's modding a golf cart to use a "petroleum battery".
Back in 92 I made a straight through trip from New Orleans to Chicago stopping only for gas, bathroom business and munchies were handled during those stops.. Left Nola approximately 4pm and arrived at sunrise, 6 am or so.. I wasn't traveling on the government's money so it was a inexpensive trip

Rode my bike from Kellogg ID to the Copper Country of the UP in 29 hours back in 2005.
DeleteWould have been quicker but the 35+ mph winds from Miles City all the way through North Dakota stretched my '93 Seca II's chain so much I had to get a new one in Fargo.
Funny when going through road construction and ony 3 bases of those skinny road-divider cones are still attached to the road on a 12-mile stretch.
Wife and I make the 750 mile drive from our home to visit son/DIL/granddaughter in Silver Spring MD at least a couple of times a year. Do it in one day in our ICE Ford F-150. Don't even have to stop for gas - but old folks gotta pee every now and then. Gas is pricey - FJB - but doesn't cost $125K to make the drive.
ReplyDeleteDrove 1050 miles from Texas to elsewhere in one go once. The people pushing electric vehicles do not actually want you to be able to drive anywhere. Just like carbon capture, YOU are the carbon they want to control…
ReplyDeleteWe used to nonstop from Houston to Orlando and back a couple times a year for 10 or 12 years. Took about 15 hours each way. Try that in an EV.
ReplyDeleteIf I was going PCS, or anything else that required me to use a .GOV card and I overspent- I would have been on the hook for all the overage.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to bet that none of them had anything go out of pocket.
