Lawsuit aims to stop largest-ever fire prevention project on Plumas National Forest

CHICO, Calif. - The topic of wildfires and forest management is front and center amid the destructive wildfires in Southern California. A Plumas County environmental group has filed a lawsuit, demanding more study before this largest-ever forest management project moves forward in the Plumas National Forest.

  1. Fine, the environmental group has to put up 100% of the cost up front, cover all additional costs and submit everything they do to inspection unannounced within an hour... If not STFU and sit down assholes... They have an hour so get busy

  5. Let it burn. That’ll take care of things on it’s own & nature will recover.

Anyway, if a treehugger is shot in the forest does it make a sound?

    1. They discovered they can file frivolous law suits at little cost, and that to politicians one or two complaints become "numerous" and "widespread" especially if accompanied by threats to contributions.

    3. They got powerful thanks to the Equal Access to Justice Act, which pays Leftists taxpayer money to sue the government, win or lose. Some groups, like the Center for Biological Diversity, have made millions using this law, which should be repealed

  7. Yes, the shooter heard the shot. But there's nobody around to hear the laughter.

  8. Back in 1998 the state of Florida burned from stem to stern due to 'environmentalists' and communities shutting down forest management. One section of the Ocala National Forest, on the north side of SR40, didn't grow weeds for years and just started growing anything more than that after 10 years.

The fires burned so hot that gopher tortoises were cooked in their burrows, along with all the other animals that lived in said burrows. All animal populations, maybe except feral hogs, suffered immensely.

We, Florida, learned. Proper forest management. Proper building codes. We haven't had severe wildfires since, well, some fires but they were controlled.

California, that always has fires? All they've done is make matters worse.

  11. The environuts have been doing this since the late '60s. Remember the hippies living in the trees? If we had politicians with backbones, think how prosperous we'd be.
