LAKE COUNTY, Fla. (WESH) - A Florida sheriff’s deputy has resigned from his job after he crashed into a civilian’s car.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Internal Affairs investigation found that former Deputy Tristan Macomber was looking at something “not safe for work” before the crash happened.
a 'civilian's' car? Unless one is an MP, ALL cops are civilians

DeleteWords fail me to express how much the attitude behind cops calling the citizenry "civilians", and some of the citizenry going along with it, pisses me off.
DeleteCrashed while watching Porn. Probably had the smartphone in his left hand with his eyes on the action. I wonder what he was doing with his right hand?
ReplyDeleteOh you and your race to judgement. FYI, some of us are left handed.
DeleteI'm ambidextrous so cum ci, cum ca
DeleteCops are civilians, they aren't the military...
ReplyDeleteMy nephew was stopped at a red light. A cop ran into a car driven by a lawyer which ran into a car driven by a lawyer which hit nephew.
ReplyDeleteThe cop had been texting. My nephew got written up for impeding traffic. The city's insurer offered less than $3,000 and five chiropractor visits as a settlement. Nothing about loss of wages or inability to continue his martial arts.
Good man, he did not accept.
Nephew is having difficulty in finding a lawyer because of the city and the lawyers being involved.
He is the only one without deep pockets or connections. They're trying to wear him down.
I called a cop a civilian. He shot daggers at me as the gears whirred in his head on what he could get me on.
ReplyDeleteI've done that and got the same reaction from almost all. One time while working security at a highwayside den of iniquity (aka Motel 6 on I-75 in NW Atlanta) the cop tried to convince me that it was legitimate. I referred him to the Peelian Principles of Policing - from Sir Robert Peel, the man who founded the first modern police force, London's Metropolitan Police, the Bobbies - and recommended he read them. Dunno if he ever did but he must have because I worked there for nearly a year afterward and he pointedly ignored me whenever he had to come on the property. LOL
