    1. Starker here,
I believe the correct term is Former or Retired but I think it should be "Inactive Marine" or Inactivated which is used for you units.

    3. IMHO you are all a bit off. As a US Marine Vietnam veteran I can testify that there are "Active-Duty Marines" and "Marine Veterans." As "bogsidebunny correctly proclaimed: Once a Marine, always a Marine.

  5. All fine and well, but would the USMC have honored the man if he were convicted and sat languishing in a NY jail cell? Victors write the history books, and I shudder to think of where that brave, conscientious man would be today if not for the winds of change that finally whipped up after decent people were finally fed up with radical leftism. I wish for similar vindication for Derek Chauvin and the McMichaels.

    1. “Victors write the history books.”
People rarely digest the true meaning of that phrase.

    2. Given the amount of support he had from Marines at his trial, I think they would have awarded it to him even if he were convicted.

    1. I believe Grunts are Army. Jarheads or Leathernecks are Marines. Also Crayon Eaters works too.

    2. So what are Tuskegee Airmen called in the Marines?

    3. I grew up on a Marine base back in the 60's.

As far as the Tuskegee Airman, I believe they were Army Air Corp. And whatever they were called, it probably wasn't very nice.

  8. When I was a hiring manager every resume of a Marine got a job offer.
