Gene Hackman, wife found dead in Santa Fe home; no foul play suspected
Legendary actor, two-time Oscar winner and author Gene Hackman and his wife, classical pianist Betsy Arakawa, were found dead Wednesday afternoon in their home in the Santa Fe Summit community northeast of the city.
Gets down to almost freezing at night in Albuquerque area, so perhaps faulty heating exhaust and CO poisoning. Sad. At least CO poisoning - you just drift off to a permanent sleep

He moves from 'my favorite living actor' to 'my favorite dead one.' Reportedly, he was very difficult to work with, but once you saw him on the screen, there was nobody better.

ReplyDeleteHackman lied about his age to enlist USMC at age 16 and served as a China Marine during the Communist take-over there.
