A number of years ago I went into a little market to by a soft drink ($.65) and put down a Susan B. Anthony dollar. The lady behind the counter said "Hun, that drink is 65 cents". I said that that's a dollar coin. She looked at me with that "bless your heart" look and said "Hun, we don't take foreign money". I explained it was a US coin but she insisted the US didn't have dollar coins. A few years ago my wife was in a store in line behind a guy who was trying to pay with a $2 bill. The bimbo cashier thought it was fake and wouldn't take it. Wifey spoke up and said she'd take it and gave the guy two ones for it. Problem solved. wildbill
That's our new society. They don't know history, they don't know what sex they are, they don't know cursive, they can't parallel park. Not knowing a $2 bill sounds right.
Those $2 bills make great tips at restaurants. A novelty among the young around us - they weren't around when this currency was distributed by the U.S. Treasury.
