A Chicago man who thought he found his stolen car at a Far South Side gas station suffered a gunshot wound in a shootout with the car’s occupants and then got charged with firing his weapon, according to court records.
Even if this was Texas, and not Chicago, he would be screwed. He armed himself and went looking (hunting?) for bad guys. The car thieves may even be able to claim self defense since they were at the gas station minding their own business.
Don't get me wrong. I completely sympathize with the guy. He's just screwed.
