I have enjoyed Nanci's music for many years. She was able to put so much feeling into her music, such as Once in a Very Blue Moon. She like Allison Krauss doesn't have the best voice but there are several songs no one else could sing so well. Both have given me hours of pleasure. Deacon in Louisiana
"Love at the Five and Dime" has always been my favorite. Bing! I had her live concert "One Fair Summer Evening" on laserdisc back in the 90s. Thanks for reminding me I need to buy the DVD and rewatch it.

ReplyDeleteShe always seemed ageless - I'm so glad we've got recordings to treasure!

ReplyDelete- Red Alert!
I must live a sheltered life. I'd never heard of her but she's great. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've featured her several times over the past couple years.
