Neither Force Nor Will

The next chapter of lawfare has already begun. A host of federal judges have issued orders to stop President Trump’s political appointees from implementing his policies. Judge Paul Engelmayer’s initial 4-page order against the administration temporarily prevented Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent from accessing department records.

  1. Don already circumvented the commies with an EO - he will ignore all attempts at treason until SCOTUS weighs in. All SCOTUS, not just a chosen two or three.

    1. Turns out that reported EO was a fake. Fuckers at sites that are generally viewed as legit information sources (and not just shit posters putting up memes all the time) repost stuff like that either thinking it's legit (and failing to check it out first) or do it as click bait to be cute, without reveling to their readers that it's literal fake news.

Now, if the subject of such a story is an obvious farce, then the joke is on the schlub who believes it was real. But when the story looks plausibly legit (and this one did) at first glance, it's a shitty "gotcha" to post something like this (which was single sourced from a screen captured tweet) and lead people into a false idea that something worthwhile actually took place. Apparently The Who were wrong. We did get fooled again.

  2. In reading most of the article at the provided link, I found pretty much what I have seen for at least 2 decades. The liberal Democrats, when they cannot win their way with elections, resort to the judicial system to force their own will on the people, like it or not. Thus we see things like the obvious, their hatred of the 2nd amendment.
Because most polls, of which I don't usually take much stock of, show that the American people by a large margin, don't want the restrictive laws that we see being crafted in places like Colorado, and both of the coastal states. We have been witness to the past 2 presidents, Trump and then Biden, having liberal activists doing things like burning cities down, destroying police vehicles and even police stations, and in more recent times, college and university campus protests that left entire groups of students in fear for their lives, and with good reason.
Until President Trump is able to perhaps nominate one more Supreme Court Justice to replace one of the ridiculous activist Justices, I fear that nothing will change very much. A perfect example would be the Bruen case, which we had hoped would give the right to keep and bear arms on the same level as the other amendments of the Bill of Rights. Sadly although the opinion on its face was very well considered and even more explicitly written, the liberal states ignore it, and make even worse laws, and the SCOTUS doesn't slap them down. I place the blame mostly on the shoulders of John Roberts, the Chief Justice who famously called the Obamacare debacle just fine, because the penalty portion of the law was not really a penalty but a tax. Twisting language to make it fit your agenda depends on things like what your definition of the word is, is.
And again we see the entire history of liberals play out, for all to see. I hope that things change, but as many have said, we cannot think that voting in President Trump means that we can now relax. Now it is even more important to watch and hold our own elected officials accountable.

    1. There are three coastal western states. Four if you count Alaska. Oregon is hot right now with some very Draconian shit in the pipeline.

    2. Sorry, I meant both coasts.

  4. I've been saying for years: Democrats are obsessed, neurotic, power hungry, control freak bullies who have perfected using lawfare to slow or stop their opponents. They (Americans) apparently don't have day jobs because they eat, sleep and breath 24/7, 365 trying to destroy those (Americans) they perceive as enemies, while most of us conservatives are leave me alone to live and enjoy my life. Bottom line is life is still basically ruled by survival of the fittest and the Democrats are doing a better job of adhering to that rule.

  5. Here's a theory. Roberts is dirty, blackmailed by the dems/Obama. Trump etal have known it for years, he's gotta go. If he keeps f'kn up with the piss ant district judges info on him will be "leaked". Or come out in court, leading to his resignation or impeachment. Just a what if.

  6. We have to get used to the idea that crooked political activist judges are just another arm of the demonkrap party and therefore ignored until they can be arrested and shot.

  7. Robert's problem is his adoption of children from Ireland, if I remember correctly. Ireland doesn't allow out of country adoption, and could raise hell about it. This is the basis of compromise for the Chief Justice, if I remember correctly, it's been a while.

    1. At this stage, I'd settle for 3 more Scalia style "suspiciously smothered by pillow" type deaths, or just some crazy bastard with a bone to pick gunning them down.

  9. I have run into idiots trying to enforce that 4 foot rule.

  10. It's an imperfect system run by people why are even further from perfection. The abject stupidity of most of the electorate does help.

  11. Ken Denninger at Market-Ticker had a real interesting column about cases brought in federal courts. It appears that the plaintiffs are supposed to be required by the court to to put up a bond equivalent to what the costs would be to the defending agency, etc if they lose their case. Check over at his site. It makes for a very informative read.
